George’s California Modern, La Jolla

Chef Trey Foshee only serves brunch two times a year: Easter and Mother’s Day. This year, the Easter brunch menu has everything from purple broccoli ravioli to prime short rib hash, as well as gourmet versions of brunch standards, like brioche French toast with Chino Farms strawberries and Meyer lemon cream, and eggs benny with fresh Dungeness crab. Burlap, Del Mar

While the kids hunt for eggs (every hour, on the hour), adults can toast the bunny by creating their own Bloody Mary, and feasting on Burlap’s brunch dishes, like crab cake eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and scrambles. The Westgate Hotel, Downtown San Diego

Easter activities at the Westgate Hotel include Easter Bunny Teas, a magician, plus an egg hunt and other activities for the kids. On Easter Sunday, there’s a Champagne Brunch, featuring fresh seafood, made to order omelets, a carving station, and a special buffet just for kids.
