CPP Tip of the Month: March

Beware! If title on your home is held in a trust, note that in order to complete your refinance, it has to be taken out of trust to close. This isn’t a problem if escrow makes sure it is put back in the trust. We would assume this would be done, but a word to the wise, mistakes happen and many homeowners don’t think to check.

This just happened to a client, her husband passed away and now it has to go to probate and she has added legal costs, not to mention unnecessary aggravation.

With spring coming, make this a time to check that everything is in order with your home!
