Take your little ones trick or treating in some of San Diego’s best neighborhoods this Halloween!
Carmel Valley/Del Mar
-Known for its safe and suburban streets, the neighborhoods that surround Del Mar Heights road are a popular place to trick or treat with your little ones! The Del Mar Highlands will also have its annual Halloween event on Monday, October 31st between 4:00-6:00 pm.
-From 3:30-5:30 pm on Halloween, local merchants on Orange Avenue provide a great night for the little ones by passing out candy and other gifts!
-Each year, the stretch of South Coast Hwy 101, between K street and Encinitas Blvd., is turned into “Pumpkin Lane.” The Scripps Health sponsored event attracts 5,000+ trick-or-treaters with its merchant trick-or-treating, carved pumpkin displays, live music, games, and many more Halloween-themed activities! Join the fun on Halloween between 5-8pm!
-The La Jolla community is a go-to spot for trick-or-treaters due to it’s close proximity to the beach, safe streets, and yummy treats!
-A great stop for trick or treating! Head to India street with your little ones to take advantage of local businesses providing goodies on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 5:30-7:30pm.
-This community is well-known for going out all on Halloween! The most popular family-friendly streets include Canterbury Drive, Adams, Edgeware, and Marlborough.
-The residents of Mission Hills never disappoint when it comes to Halloween! The decorations are known to be a bit on the scary side, but are an instant hit with older kids!
-Santa Fe Hills in San Marcos is the #1 trick-or-treating neighborhood in San Diego County! The North County neighborhood brings in thousands of trick-or-treaters each year due to it’s abundance of over-the-top Halloween decorations, and of course, candy.
The Scripps Ranch neighborhood is well known for it’s over-the-top treats such as full sized candy bars and sometimes cash! This Halloween hotspot also will hold it’s annual Scripps Ranch marketplace event on the 29th between 1-4pm that features rides, music, treats, and more!
