Pantone has revealed that the color of the year for 2015 is Marsala, a rich, wine-red hue.
Pantone had this to say about their color choice: “
Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in
to its embracing warmth.
Not only does Pantone’s color pick affect what colors ends up in clothing stores, it also ends up in home furnishings. Look for this color to show up in decor items like pillows, rugs and other textiles, lamps, vases, artwork, and more. For those that like a bolder touch, you can paint a wall this color or incorporate some furniture in this shade.
Not sure where to start? Pantone has compiled a list of colors that compliment Marsala.
