Restaurant of the Moment: Claire’s on Cedros

Claire’s on Cedros

246 North Cedros Ave

Solana Beach CA 92075

Claire’s on Cedros is the perfect place for family and friends to gather in the seaside community of Solana Beach. This restaurant strives to have a location just as sustainable as their menu, proving that it is possible to have a successful business, sustainable practices, and delicious food all wrapped up into one beautiful dining experience. Their building is a LEED platinum certified building, making it the first of its kind throughout San Diego. Claire Allison, part owner of Claire’s on Cedros, is the mastermind behind the wholesome and famous Milton’s bread recipe. She brings that same closeness to nature to her menu at Claire’s and it sure is one to remember.

For breakfast, favorite offerings include the Strawberry Rhubarb Stuffed French toast with fresh bakery brioche and ricotta cheese, the Enchiladas and Eggs, Breakfast Polenta with creamy goat cheese and roasted tomato, as well as the Salmon Cake Benedict.

The best of the lunch menu would have to incorporate the Quinoa and Lentil Salad, their famous Sweet Potato Parmesan Fries with creamy bleu cheese dressing, the Roasted Lamb Sandwich, or the Chicken Caprese Sandwich with fresh mozzarella, pesto, and spicy tomato jam on a freshly baked ciabatta roll.

Finally, dinner is not complete without the Moroccan Chicken with roasted vegetable quinoa, the Corn and Zucchini enchiladas, as well as the Turkey Meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, seared French beans, and warm mushroom gravy.

Claire’s offers a wide variety of options for everyone to enjoy, including gluten-free and vegan items. Hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00 am-3:00 pm, Friday 6:00-9:00am, Saturday 7:00 am-9:00 pm, and Sunday 7:00 am-3:00pm.
