Event In Focus: VinDiego Wine and Food Festival

VinDiego Wine and Food Festival

April 6th, 2013

The Port Pavilion of the Broadway Pier

Billed as the premier wine tasting event in Southern California, the VinDiego Wine and Food Festival showcases more than 300 offerings from over 75 California wineries. And that isn’t even all of it! It is, after all, called the Wine AND Food Festival. Some of San Diego’s best restaurants will be on hand, serving up some of their delicious culinary magic.

VIP Admission begins at 4pm, with general admission beginning at 5pm. The event runs until 8 that night. The beautiful glass windows of the Port Pavilion provide for a spectacular view of the sunset over the bay and Coronado in the distance.

Some of the participating wineries include Gnarly Head, Black Stallion, Incognito, Robert Mondavi, Bogle, and Seaglass.

There will also be a silent auction to benefit the non-profit charity, Freedom Station, an organization that helps wounded young Marines and Sailors transition back to civilian life. Some of the big ticket items include vacation packages, VIP winery tours, collectable wines, and more.
