Community Focal Point: Moms Making Six Figures
According to the US Census Bureau, more than 5.4 million women put their careers on hold to stay home with their children. For those that can’t or don’t, it can be a struggle to balance raising a family with the the need to have a career that produces a sustaining amount of income.
Moms Making Six Figures was developed with just that in mind. Made up of a wonderful team of women, all mothers themselves, they have created a company that allows them to stay home and raise their kids, while still earning income. Each of the women sets their own schedule, letting them work around their child’s activities.
Says founder, Hilary Bartolotta, “We are a group of women who came together with one goal, to enhance our lives. We’re self-motivated, energetic and driven to achieve a better quality of life. We work from the comfort of our homes on a flexible work schedule.”
Moms Making Six Figures was founded three years ago in San Diego. The company is made up of moms from all different backgrounds.
“The best way to explain Moms Making Six Figures is that we’re a group a moms who created a marketing organization to represent one primary company,” says Kara Guthrie. Guthrie, who came from a long career in media, found Moms Making Six Figures to be the perfect alternative to her old job, which required her to work long hours that kept her away from her children. Now she can put her skills to work in a way that benefits her family, as it allows her to spend more time with her kids while still generating income to support their family.
